Even though entering their first-ever European campaign, Crystal Palace are learning very quickly. This occasion offered a chance for some of Palace's lesser-used talent to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second start after joining on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a well-taken goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a second, finding the net for the second game in match.

The match was as good as over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past a series of weak challenges before coolly slotting a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.
Following the break, coach Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to withdraw key players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring his first touch, only to see his effort blocked.
The youngster was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt crash off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also blazed a glaring chance, indicating there is still scope for improvement in his game.
A solitary concern for Palace was a second-half knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to make his senior debut, rounding off an otherwise perfect night for the traveling side.
